"The disruption to nature's rhythms has become all too familiar. This photo helps illustrate the realities of climate change. In September 2022, smoke from throughout the western U.S., including California, drifted across the state of Nevada to Great Basin National Parkl, not far from the Utah border. At a small alpine lake inside the park, the effects of lingering drought were clearly evident in significantly low water levels. Scientists have documented the declining snowpack in the Great Basin over the last 100 years, with adverse impacts to wildlife and subalpine vegetation. In the background of this scene is Wheeler Peak, the tallest mountain in the central Great Basin at more than 13,000 feet."-John Stumbos
This breathtaking photo of Great Basin National Park is 11" x 14" and printed on aluminum.
